Medical Assistant

Mass General Brigham is seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct and indirect patient care as assigned by a licensed independent provider (LIP), LPN, or RN.
- Participate in the gathering of data that contributes to the assessment, planning, and evaluation of care delivered.
- Collaborate as a member of the healthcare team to create a supportive and therapeutic environment.
- Accurately obtain vital signs, administer relevant care within scope of practice, and document patient information in the electronic health record.
- Perform routine tests, including electrocardiograms, vision and hearing screening, and specimen collection for laboratory testing and point-of-care.
- Participate in team-based care and patient education initiatives to support patient health and wellness.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Some college or Associate's Degree preferred.
- Certificate preferred.
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Certificate Program preferred.
- Experience in healthcare preferred.
- Technical skills: knowledge of practice operations and standards, medical terminology, and ability to perform vital signs and medication reconciliation.
- Communication skills: effective oral and written communication, ability to facilitate therapeutic relationships.
- Organization skills: ability to manage work processes, prioritize tasks, and follow established policies and procedures.
- Technology skills: ability to utilize technology in the clinical setting, including basic computer skills and electronic medical equipment.
