Job Summary:

Collins Aerospace, a Raytheon Technologies company, is seeking a skilled Assembly Operator to join our team. As an Assembly Operator, you will be responsible for performing routine and repetitive assembly operations and processes. This role requires strong attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Technical Tasks:
    • Perform machine and/or manual assembly tasks with high precision and accuracy.
    • Read and follow procedures, routing, and other work instructions to ensure quality and efficiency.
    • Take ownership of accuracy and quality of processes.
  • Customer Focus:
    • Meet internal and external customer deadlines as determined by the team.
    • Build parts that meet drawing specifications and customer requirements.
    • Comply with applicable elements of quality systems (ACE).
  • Special Projects:
    • Demonstrate initiative to keep processes moving and on schedule.
    • Understand and use computer tools such as SAP and follow work instructions accurately.
    • Achieve special process certification where applicable.
    • Demonstrate a proactive role in problem-solving.
  • Communication:
    • Interface with other functional groups to update, inform, acknowledge, or resolve problems related to production issues.
    • Effectively interact with others to ensure smooth communication and collaboration.
  • Participation:
    • Participate in cost reduction plans and waste minimization efforts.
    • Participate in audits and quality control processes.
Requirements:
  • Typically requires a High School Diploma or equivalent. In the absence of a diploma or GED, 2 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident "Green Card" holder.
  • Must be available to work 2nd shift.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 35 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to read, interpret, and follow documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and assembly instructions.
  • Highly motivated and dedicated to exceeding customer expectations.
