About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join our team at KT Pacer, a division of Kentucky Trailer. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for assembling and testing feed trailers and feed bodies to meet our high standards of quality and precision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble purchased and fabricated parts on feed trailers and feed bodies
  • Test and calibrate parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications
  • Use hand tools and power tools to assemble units according to product specifications
  • Identify units that fail tests or tolerance levels and repair as necessary
  • Install hydraulic lines & electrical wiring on feed trailers and feed bodies
  • Apply decals and warning stickers on feed trailers and feed bodies according to specifications
  • Install air lines and valves as directed
  • Collaborate with Production Supervisors to diagnose and troubleshoot components on feed trailers
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Prior experience in transportation and/or agriculture equipment manufacturing preferred
  • Math skills: Ability to add two digit numbers and multiply and divide with 10's and 100's

Ability to stand and move about on concrete 8-12 hours a day. Ability to see, walk, bend, reach, grasp, stoop, kneel, twist, crawl, carry, climb (including ladders), work overhead, push, and pull. Ability to do the heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) multiple times daily in a 10 to 12-hour shift. Ability to maneuver large parts and assemblies (up to 180 pounds) by pushing, pulling, and flipping them into place. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): The use of Safety Glasses is required. Steel or Composite Toed Boots and hearing protection is required.
