About the Role:

The ideal candidate for this Senior Confluent Kafka Administrator position will have a strong engineering background and 10+ years of total IT experience. They will be responsible for setting up and managing Confluent Kafka clusters, monitoring their performance and distribution, and designing and configuring RBAC and multi-tenancy. Additionally, they will have experience with Confluent Kafka On Prem and Confluent Kafka Cloud, as well as managing all Kafka configurations via Ansible. The successful candidate will also have good experience with setting up disaster recovery for Confluent Kafka instances and coordinating with development teams to manage their connectivity and usage in the Kafka cluster. They will document, maintain, and present best engineering practices to ensure near-term changes are aligned with long-term release objectives. The candidate will also collaborate with infrastructure and other backend teams on software upgrades, disaster recovery, and other efforts. Minimum of 6-8 years of experience in using Confluent Kafka with at least 5 years in administration is required. Knowledge and experience in Git and Ansible are also necessary.
