We are seeking a skilled Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team at Ohana Pacific Health.


About the Position

This role involves implementing progressive rehabilitation programs for patients in their homes, administering occupational therapy treatment, and providing patient, family, and caregiver education and training as appropriate.


Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized rehabilitation plans for patients.
  • Conduct occupational therapy assessments and evaluations to identify patient needs.
  • Administer occupational therapy treatments, including exercises and activities to promote patient independence and mobility.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Provide education and training to patients, families, and caregivers on occupational therapy techniques and strategies.

Requirements
  • Associate degree or higher in Occupational Therapy Assistant Program from AOTA or AOTE or Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy curriculum with a bachelor's or master's degree with certification in occupational therapy.
  • Current medical/health screening including 2 Step TB clearance.
  • Valid State of Hawaii license to practice as a COTA or license eligibility letter prior to the first day of employment.
  • Current Basic Life Support CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) certification through the American Heart Association.
