Job Summary

The Instructional Support Specialist will be responsible for providing support to teachers and students in a variety of settings, including classrooms, libraries, and other educational environments. This role requires a high level of organization, communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support to teachers and students in a variety of settings, including classrooms, libraries, and other educational environments.
  • Assist with lesson planning, implementation, and assessment.
  • Support students with special needs, including those with disabilities and English language learners.
  • Communicate effectively with teachers, students, and parents to ensure a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Any combination equivalent to a High School diploma and one year of job-related experience.
  • Must pass the SUHSD Instructional Assistant proficiency exam or have completed 48 college credits.
  • Valid CPR card.
