We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team at Fairfield Inn Lincoln Airport. As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and comfort for our guests.
Key Responsibilities:- Retrieve and restock cleaning supplies, ensuring a well-stocked cart for efficient room cleaning.
- Clean and polish windows, doors, walls, and fixtures in rooms, public areas, and hallways, using ladders or stools as needed.
- Wash shower walls and tubs, clean toilets and stall walls, and wipe exposed pipes and mirrors in guest and public restrooms.
- Replace towels, soaps, and room amenities, and restock literature for arriving guests.
- Wash hard floor areas by hand to remove dirt and soiled areas.
- Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and wall hangings, including using a duster to reach vents and ceiling corners.
- Strip and remake beds with fresh linens, checking for cleanliness and replacing if soiled.
- Check closets for cleanliness, wiping door handles and overhead shelves, and restocking guest room supplies.
- Vacuum rooms, public areas, and hallways, operating vacuums weighing up to 25lbs, and lifting/moving heavy furniture.
- Inspect door and window locks to ensure they are in working order and report any issues to management.
- Inspect room equipment to ensure proper working order and report any deficiencies to the Executive Housekeeper.
- Secure and maintain custody of equipment, keys, and supplies at all times.
- Maintain a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor at all times.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with the public and other team members.
- Must be willing to assist co-workers with their job duties.
- Must be able to learn new tasks quickly and thoroughly.
- Must follow all appropriate policies and procedures.
- Must possess excellent organizational skills.
- Must be able to meet personal appearance and cleanliness or hygiene standards.
- Must be able to effectively manage time.
- Must have excellent work history and attendance record.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, weekends, and holidays.
- Must have vision ability to see minute debris and dirt in poorly lit areas, and to read written instructions and computer printouts.
- Must have upper body strength to lift up to 50lbs continually throughout an 8-hour shift.
- Must have finger, hand, and upper body dexterity to push, pull, and move levers, equipment, and furniture throughout an 8-hour shift.
- Must be able to work with arms raised above head throughout an 8-hour shift.
- Must be able to maneuver fully loaded maid cart, weighing up to 50lbs, through hallways and into/out of closets during the entire workday.
- Must be able to complete 2.5 rooms in a one-hour time frame.
- High school diploma preferred.
- Experience in housekeeping or janitorial work preferred but not required.
- Must have basic knowledge of general cleaning principles, use of cleaning products, and operation of standard cleaning equipment.
