Intensive Care Unit Nurse

Waterbury Hospital is seeking a skilled Critical Care Registered Nurse to join our team in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). As a Critical Care Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to critically ill patients, working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Monitor and manage patient's vital signs, including heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, and respiratory rate.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, including vasopressors, inotropes, and other critical care medications.
- Perform advanced life support procedures, including intubation, ventilation, and cardiac arrest management.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement plans for patient discharge and transition to other levels of care.
- 1 year of experience as a Critical Care Registered Nurse in an ICU setting.
- Current ACLS and BCLS certification.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends.
