Job Summary

The Medical Support Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of our plasma collection process. This includes determining donor eligibility, managing donor adverse events, and reviewing laboratory test results.



Main Responsibilities

  • Donor Eligibility:
  • Accurately determine donor eligibility, taking into account informed consent, medical history, physical examination, blood testing, and Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE) results.
  • Manage donor deferrals, informing donors of unsuitable test results according to SOPs.
  • Collaborate with the Center Physician and Medical Affairs to address medical or technical issues.


Supporting Roles

  • EHS Program: Assist with pre-placement evaluations, vaccine programs, employee medical records, and training initiatives.
  • Medical History: Perform finger stick tests, collect samples, and monitor donor health metrics.


Requirements

To excel in this position, you'll need:



  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent nursing program.
  • Certifications: RN, NP, PA, CPR/AED, and state-specific basic IV therapy requirements.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • At least two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting.


Compensation

Our salary range is $29.62 - $40.72 per hour, with opportunities for bonuses and benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k), and paid time off.
