Join Our Team as a Memorial Ceremony Specialist

We are seeking a compassionate and organized Memorial Ceremony Specialist to join our team at Better Place Forests. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for scheduling, planning, and facilitating memorial ceremonies for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule and plan memorial ceremonies in collaboration with the General Manager
  • Facilitate ceremonies, including reading poetry, bible verse, and other content
  • Work with families to design and coordinate memorial ceremonies
  • Provide a beautiful and transcendent experience for families within the forest
  • Assist with writing the playbook for our memorial ceremony
  • Guide and support our families through the planning process as they navigate through grief
  • Manage applicable legal filings related to the spreading of ashes in the forest
  • Collaborate with partnering teams to achieve tasks that support memorial ceremonies operations and forest-specific customer questions
  • Participate in local marketing initiatives, such as presentations at hospitals, nursing homes, and funeral homes

Requirements:

  • Confident public speaker and leader
  • Compassionate, communicative, and very organized
  • Ability to work with complex emotional and familial situations
  • Excellent oral, written, cross-functional, and interpersonal communication skills
  • High level of emotional intelligence and experience managing group dynamics
  • Public speaking skills that enable you to command attention of large or small groups
  • Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions and sustain prolonged standing, bending, stooping, twisting, and lifting products and supplies weighing up to 45 pounds
