Job Title: Production Technician

At Berry Global, we are committed to excellence in all that we do. We are seeking a skilled Production Technician to join our team in Evansville, Indiana.

Job Summary:

The Production Technician will be responsible for maintaining the operation of designated production lines, supervising helpers, and ensuring the safe and efficient production of products.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain operation of designated production line.
  • Supervise helpers on the line and be responsible for their actions.
  • Take ownership of the line when it is down and be responsible for getting it back up and running under normal running conditions.
  • Train helpers to perform properly in accordance with their responsibilities.
  • Enforce safety rules and procedures in assigned areas.
  • Perform clean-ups and daily clean-up tasks.
  • Complete technician paperwork and key information into the computer system.
  • Understand the process and operation of the equipment.
  • Operate a forklift to move skids and/or supplies in a safe manner.

Qualifications:

  • Prefer at least 1 year as an Apprentice Technician or approval from upper management.
  • Possess basic computer/typing skills.
  • Ability to understand/communicate English in oral and written form.
  • Ability to lift up to 65 lbs.
  • Ability and willingness to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime.
  • Complete recipe training.
  • Basic supervisory skills.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to pass a drug test.
