Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Safety: Ensure the safe handling and dispensing of medications, maintaining a clean and organized pharmacy environment.
  • Pharmacy Professional Practice: Stay up-to-date with the latest pharmacy practices, regulations, and standards, applying this knowledge to improve patient care and outcomes.
  • Regulatory Requirements: Comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and accreditation standards, ensuring the pharmacy meets or exceeds expectations.
  • Quality Assurance: Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient care and pharmacy operations.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, responding to patient and customer inquiries, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Personnel Management: Supervise and develop Pharmacy Technician Support Staff, providing guidance, training, and feedback to ensure they meet performance expectations.
  • Inventory Management: Manage pharmacy inventory, ordering supplies, and maintaining accurate records to ensure efficient operations.
  • Financial Profitability: Contribute to the financial success of the pharmacy, managing costs, and identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Loss Prevention: Implement measures to prevent loss and minimize waste, ensuring the pharmacy operates efficiently and effectively.
  • Workflow Management: Streamline pharmacy operations, optimizing workflows to improve productivity and patient satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Active Pharmacy License: Possess an active pharmacy license in the state where employed.
  • Immunization Certification: Hold immunization certification through an accredited organization.
  • Background Check: Pass a background check, including a review of any pending felony charges or convictions related to controlled substances.
