About the Role

Kleinfelder Inc is seeking a highly skilled Senior Bridge Structural Engineer to join our team in the New England Region. As a key member of our Design Services team, you will be responsible for leading the design and analysis of transportation structures, including bridges, culverts, walls, and sign structures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and analysis of transportation structures, ensuring compliance with relevant design criteria, standards, and processes.
  • Manage tasks and/or projects as assigned, providing technical guidance and support to staff engineers and CAD operators.
  • Assist with the pursuit of new projects, developing project deliverables, including design computations, contract drawings, specifications, and estimates.
  • Prepare cost proposals for projects, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with co-workers, project managers, supervisors, and other team members.
Requirements
  • BSCE from an ABET accredited engineering program (MSCE preferred).
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant design experience in the structural engineering field.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (MA, CT, NH PE license a plus).
  • Familiarity with AASHTO, MassDOT, NHDOT, and/or CTDOT standards.
  • Experience performing design and analysis of transportation structures, including bridges, culverts, walls, and sign structures.
  • Familiarity with general purpose structural analysis software, including 3D finite element analysis experience.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office and AutoCAD (MicroStation experience a plus).
