Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the GI Outpatient Lab. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and promoting a safe and positive patient experience.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare patients for procedures and monitor their condition periodically
- Utilize the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care
- Guide and direct assigned unlicensed assistive personnel in delivering interdisciplinary patient care
- Communicate and collaborate with healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care
- Perform quality rounds on medications and supplies and other equipment as applicable
- Current professional Nursing Licensure in the State of IL required
- Graduate of a NLN accredited school of nursing required; BSN strongly preferred
- BLS/CPR and ACLS certification required (AHA)
- Prior Critical Care/Emergency Department and conscious sedation experience highly preferred
This is a day shift position with varying start times and rotating hours. On-call responsibility is required 1-2 days/week and 2-4 weekends shifts in a 6-week schedule. Travel to different NorthShore sites may be required.
