Position Overview:

As the HR Information Systems Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing our Human Resource Information System (HRIS). You will be responsible for overseeing a state-of-the-art HRIS framework, ensuring data accuracy, and enhancing HR processes through innovative system improvements. You will serve as the primary resource for reporting and analytics, collaborating with HR, Payroll, IT, and other key departments to ensure our HRIS meets and exceeds organizational requirements and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • System Oversight:
    • Manage the daily operations of the HRIS, ensuring optimal performance and system integrity.
    • Oversee system upgrades, patches, and enhancements.
    • Ensure data security and compliance with relevant data protection regulations.
  • Data Management:
    • Guarantee data accuracy and consistency within the HRIS.
    • Generate and deliver standard and custom reports, dashboards, and analytics to support HR and business decisions.
    • Conduct regular audits to maintain data integrity.
  • Process Optimization:
    • Identify and implement opportunities to enhance workflows and processes using the HRIS.
    • Lead HRIS projects from initiation to completion, including requirements gathering, testing, and training.
    • Work with stakeholders to translate business needs into HRIS functionalities.
  • User Support:
    • Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting for end users.
    • Design and deliver training sessions for HRIS users to improve system utilization.
    • Create and maintain user documentation and manuals.
  • Compliance Management:
    • Ensure HRIS compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
    • Conduct risk assessments and implement necessary controls to mitigate potential risks.
  • Vendor Relations:
    • Coordinate with HRIS vendors for support and enhancements.
    • Evaluate and recommend HRIS-related products and services.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Comprehensive understanding of HR processes and data management.
  • Proficiency in HRIS software and database management.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and projects effectively.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and data accuracy.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A Master's degree or HRIS certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) is advantageous.
  • Over five years of experience in HRIS management or similar roles.
  • Demonstrated experience with HRIS systems (e.g., Dayforce, Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM, ADP).

Additional Information:

This position typically involves working in a standard office environment, requiring prolonged periods of sitting and computer use. Flexibility in working hours may be necessary, including potential evening or weekend commitments. Light lifting may be required.
