Job Summary:

**Controller, Financial Operations**

BWX Technologies, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controller to oversee the financial operations of our Nuclear Fuel Services (NFS) facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing financial data, creating budgets, and providing accurate financial reports to management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, direct, and review the overall accounting department operations and activities.
  • Perform staff planning, performance reviews, and budgeting functions for the department.
  • Develop policies and procedures for the accounting department.
  • Direct the execution of the financial accounting cycle.
  • Design, develop, and implement financial systems and their modifications and enhancements.
  • Review and monitor compliance with company policies and governmental regulations.
  • Generate the company's financial reports in a timely manner.
  • Evaluate and assess all phases of the capital assets program.
  • Ensure financials are prepared in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS).
Requirements:
  • Must have a minimum of a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Must have a minimum of 10 years' experience in financial reporting, financial systems, and leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of budgeting and cost control.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and deadline-driven.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen with no dual citizenship.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance.
Compensation:

The base salary range for this position is expected to be between $150,000 and $227,000 per year. The total compensation package may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive and a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits.

Clearance Requirements:

Applicants selected will be subject to a Federal background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information or matter. Position requires U.S. citizenship with no dual citizenship ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance which involves an extensive criminal and financial background investigation, drug test and previous employment reference verifications.
