Job Summary:

The Deputy Controller will play a crucial role in directing all finance and accounting functions at BWXT Nuclear Fuel Services. This position will assist the Controller in ensuring compliance with financial policies and government regulations. The ideal candidate will have 10 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, direct, and review the Accounting Department operations and activities.
• Direct the execution of the financial accounting cycle.
• Generate BWXT's financial reports in a timely manner.
• Evaluate and assess all phases of the capital assets program.
• Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS).
• Collaborate on division projects by providing financial analysis and project estimates.
• Provide internal oversight and review of direct reports ensuring department remains audit-ready.
• Interact with internal and external auditors.
• Design, develop, and implement financial systems and their modifications and enhancements.

Requirements:

• Must be willing and able to report to our office located in Erwin, Tennessee. This is a fully on-site position.
• Ability to interpret and apply company guidelines, SOX, GAAP, and government regulations.
• Demonstrable superior written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Highly initiative-taking and self-directed, with keen attention to detail.
• Proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a rapidly changing environment.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
• U.S. citizens only. No dual citizenship.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

• A CPA or MBA.
