About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bakery Department Leader to join our team at King Soopers. As a key member of our bakery team, you will be responsible for leading a team of associates to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve sales and profit goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of associates to create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service and a safe, clean environment.
  • Establish and maintain high standards of quality assurance and control all aspects of bakery operations.
  • Monitor and control all functions, duties, and activities related to the bakery department.
  • Develop and implement a department business plan to achieve desired results and create sales promotions in partnership with store management.
  • Train and develop associates on their job performance and participate in the performance appraisal process.
  • Ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers are maintained and temperature logs are kept.
  • Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and identifying unsafe conditions.
Requirements
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Current food handlers permit once employed.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations.
  • Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, subtraction).
