Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomy professional to join our team at Trinity Health. As a Phlebotomy Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our laboratory services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain patient registration information and obtain signatures as required
  • Explain healthcare policies and procedures to patients
  • Obtain and interpret physician orders and diagnoses
  • Perform clerical functions related to ordering ancillary services
  • Distribute laboratory reports and retrieve patient results
  • Maintain logs and records
  • Maintain inventory and order supplies
  • Reconcile billing on AS400 and error batch
  • Work with Warde send outs, including follow-up with procedures and Warde billing
Requirements
  • High school graduate required; Associates preferred
  • Well-developed communication skills, both written and oral
  • Able to communicate effectively with individuals and groups representing diverse perspectives
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
  • Phlebotomy experience preferred
Work Environment

This is a relief/per diem position, requiring flexibility to work a variety of shifts and days of the week. Must be able to be reached at home by telephone. Valid Driver's License required.
