Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Development
    • Establish and sustain a culture of excellence among team members, promoting a safe and healthy work environment.
    • Develop and execute a comprehensive training program to ensure all supervisors and associates are equipped to meet customer needs.
    • Identify and develop high-potential associates for future leadership roles.
  • Operational Excellence
    • Meet or exceed all customer key performance metrics and objectives, driving business growth and revenue.
    • Lead the team to identify and implement operational improvements, such as route optimization, carrier selection, and trailer loading.
    • Collaborate with other Penske sites to share best practices and leverage resources.
  • Financial Management
    • Develop and execute an annual financial and operating plan, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
    • Lead the operation with integrity, meeting or exceeding Business Plan targets.
    • Identify and address issues with operating metrics and P&L, making timely adjustments as needed.
  • Safety and Compliance
    • Lead a culture of safety through personal example, ensuring a safe work environment for all associates.
    • Develop, execute, and assess a continuous improvement plan to reduce accident and injury frequency.
    • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory agencies, company policies, and procedures.
  • Growth and Customer Experience
    • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and challenge the status quo, driving business growth and customer satisfaction.
    • Execute a process to track and record value delivered to the customer, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
    • Identify and seize profitable business opportunities for the customer and Penske.
  • Fleet and Asset Management
    • Lead the effort to improve fleet/equipment utilization, maintenance availability, and fuel efficiency.
    • Contribute to equipment specification at time of start-up and renewal.
    • Build a strong working relationship with local PTL district and other equipment vendors.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a leadership role, preferably in the transportation or logistics industry.
  • Proven track record of driving business growth, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Strong leadership and development skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers, associates, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
