Fiber Splicer Job Description

Kanaan Communications, LLC is seeking a skilled Fiber Splicer to join our team. As a Fiber Splicer, you will be responsible for preparing and splicing fiber optic cable within a telecommunications system.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Completion of low-level and high-level labor-intensive tasks, including operation of assigned construction equipment.
  • Completion of daily production reports to document work performed.
  • Use of hand tools, ladders, and equipment to assist in the completion of assigned projects.
  • Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and work areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Requirements:
  • 2 years of related work experience.
  • Proficient in the use of hand tools and equipment, including wrenches, drills, ladders, lanyards, fork lifts, and saws.
  • Proficient in the use of telecom construction equipment, including aerial lifts, dozers, lashers, meters, plows, and other specialized equipment.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment background check, motor vehicle check, drug test, and DOT physical exam, resulting in a valid medical card.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license for at least 2 years.
