Role Overview:

The Manager of Enterprise Risk Management will be responsible for establishing and upholding a comprehensive risk management framework that integrates risk considerations into all institutional activities and decision-making processes. This role is crucial in aligning risk management with the organization's strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and sustain a comprehensive Enterprise Risk Management framework that aligns with the organization’s strategic vision and goals.
  • Foster a culture of risk awareness throughout the organization, encouraging proactive risk identification and reporting among all employees.
  • Lead the annual enterprise-wide risk assessment, identifying and evaluating risks across various domains, including operations, finance, technology, and compliance.
  • Formulate and implement strategies to mitigate identified risks, collaborating with stakeholders to establish effective controls and action plans.
  • Work closely with departmental leaders to identify specific risks within their areas and provide guidance in developing risk mitigation strategies.
  • Collect and analyze risk-related data from internal sources, reporting emerging risks to senior management and relevant committees.
  • Prepare comprehensive risk assessment reports for leadership, highlighting emerging risks and the effectiveness of mitigation strategies.
  • Develop tools and policies for effective risk analysis and reporting, ensuring adherence to an enterprise risk management framework.
  • Ensure compliance of risk management policies with applicable regulations and institutional strategic imperatives.
  • Collaborate with internal audit teams to align risk management with compliance efforts, facilitating informed decision-making across the organization.
  • Identify changes in the organization's risk profile to support risk-based audit planning activities.
  • May also oversee Business Continuity Planning initiatives.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:

Required: Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field; 3+ years of experience in Enterprise Risk Management or Compliance.

Preferred: Master’s Degree.

Skills and Competencies:
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational and management capabilities.
  • Ability to foster positive working relationships and manage teams effectively.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in relevant computer applications and software.
