The Facility Operations Coordinator at Lincoln Memorial University DeBusk Veterinary Teaching Center plays a pivotal role in overseeing the coordination and management of various events, ensuring smooth daily operations of the facility, and handling veterinary software applications. This position also involves conducting tours and performing a range of administrative responsibilities.


Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Experience in an office environment
  • Some college education
  • Background in animal-related fields

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advocate for the mission of Lincoln Memorial University among faculty, staff, students, and the broader community
  • Foster collaborative relationships among faculty, staff, and students
  • Engage in university committees
  • Ensure the security of university files and adhere to privacy protocols
  • Maintain accurate records and procedures related to job responsibilities
  • Compile necessary reports for institutional and program accreditation to support university initiatives
  • Provide administrative support as needed
  • Organize appointments as required
  • Conduct facility tours
  • Operate office equipment, including calculators, copiers, and computers
  • Welcome visitors, vendors, and staff in a professional manner
  • Direct visitors and vendors to the appropriate departments
  • Plan and execute special events such as OSCEs, interview days, and student activities
  • Conduct weekly facility inspections and prepare reports
  • Collaborate with information services for technology needs
  • Work with maintenance services for facility upkeep
  • Ensure proper setup of rooms for events
  • Assist with mailings and special projects
  • Manage HR and student services bulletin boards and announcements
  • Support other administrative staff with overflow tasks and phone coverage
  • Aid the Exam Services Department in administering and proctoring exams for the DVM program
  • Maintain the DVTC Handbook and Pathway Teamsite
  • Support various areas under the LMU-CVM Operations Department
  • Oversee student locker assignments
  • Arrange catering for meetings
  • Coordinate with housekeeping, security, and maintenance for events
  • Liaise with LMU legal on contracts and agreements related to facility use
  • Assist in scheduling clinical appointments for 4th-year students
  • Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion within the CVM
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
