Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Server to join our team at Chesapeake & Maine. As a Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, serving food and beverages, and ensuring a memorable experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Timely Service: Enhance guests' experience by delivering prompt and attentive service.
  • Take Orders and Manage Inventory: Take food and beverage orders, key them into our system, and manage inventory to ensure seamless service.
  • Serve Food and Beverages: Collect orders from the kitchen and bar, place them on trays, and serve to patrons in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Manage Payments and Transactions: Compute bills, accept payments, and manage transactions using our point-of-sale system.
  • Ensure Responsible Service: Request proper identification from customers when necessary, and serve responsibly by observing and managing guests' enjoyment of alcohol.
  • Maintain a Clean and Organized Environment: Remove empty or dirty glasses, plates, and bottles/cans, and return them to the bar or kitchen.
  • Perform Daily and Nightly Side Work: Complete assigned tasks and duties to ensure a smooth and efficient operation.
  • Suggestively Sell Beer and Food Items: Offer recommendations and suggestions to customers to enhance their dining experience.
Requirements
  • Experience in a Fast-Paced Restaurant Environment: Proven experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment, with a focus on customer service and teamwork.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 1-2 Years of Experience as a Server or Food/Beer Runner: Previous experience as a server or food/beer runner in a tap room is desired.
  • Certified Beer Server or Willingness to Complete Certification: A certified beer server or willingness to complete certification is required.
