Overview: SST Direct is looking for a detail-oriented Cost Analyst for a direct hire position. The successful candidate will be adept at assessing contract documents, working closely with the sales team on bidding approaches, and delivering outstanding customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess contract documents and collaborate with the sales team on bidding approaches.
  • Keep abreast of forthcoming construction projects in the area.
  • Respond to architectural inquiries regarding hardware specifications.
  • Build and maintain relationships with Architects and Contractors.
  • Tailor hardware solutions for Design-Build initiatives.
  • Gather project plans and specifications for precise and timely bids.
  • Spot inconsistencies in construction documents and initiate requests for clarification.
  • Perform detailed take-offs and estimates, covering material, freight, engineering, and installation costs.
  • Ensure prompt delivery of manufacturer quotes.
  • Review colleagues' inquiries and quotations for precision.
Qualifications:
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in estimating.
  • Familiarity with the construction sector, including doors, frames, hardware, codes, and standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient multitasking skills.
  • Excellent mathematical skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency, particularly in MS Excel.
