The Town of Pecos City is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the position of Executive Director Pecos Area Chamber of Commerce and CVB. This is a unique opportunity to lead a dynamic organization that promotes economic development and tourism in the Pecos area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Management
    • Oversee the general finances of the Chamber, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
    • Work with the finance committee to develop an annual budget that aligns with the Chamber's strategic goals.
  • Personnel and Office Management
    • Oversee the management of Chamber staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
    • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure effective office management.
  • Advertising & Marketing
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing and advertising plan to promote the Chamber and its members.
    • Promote the Pecos area as a tourist destination through various marketing channels.
  • Member Services and Community Events
    • Plan and execute revenue-generating events that promote networking opportunities and community engagement.
    • Develop and implement strategies to increase membership and retention.
  • Strategic Planning, Governance, and Other
    • Develop and implement long-range plans that align with the Chamber's strategic goals.
    • Work with the Board to prepare agendas and materials for meetings.
    • Ensure that the organization's priorities are responsive to member needs and serve to advance the economic welfare of the City of Pecos.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required.
    • Minimum of 5-10 years of management/executive level experience in a business-related field or other leadership position.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent communication and public speaking skills.
    • Strong marketing and advertising skills.
    • Ability to foster teamwork and collaboration among stakeholders.
    • Experience with budgeting, financial management, and personnel management.
