Senior E-commerce Recommendation Engineer

About the TeamOur E-commerce team is focused on developing innovative algorithms and machine learning techniques to improve user engagement and satisfaction on TikTok Shop. We're passionate about applying large-scale machine learning to solve real-world problems in e-commerce and recommendation.
Responsibilities- Design and develop large-scale e-commerce recommendation algorithms and systems on TikTok.
- Develop predictive models for candidate generation and ranking, including real-time data pipelines, feature engineering, model optimization, and innovation.
- Build long and short-term user interest models, analyzing and extracting relevant information from large datasets.
- Design and develop strategies using ML technology to improve user shopping experience and resolve e-commerce business challenges.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or related fields.
- Strong programming and problem-solving ability.
- 5+ years of experience in applied machine learning, with expertise in algorithms such as Collaborative Filtering, Matrix Factorization, and Deep Neural Networks.
- Experience with Deep Learning Tools such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
- 3+ years of experience in recommendation systems, online advertising, information retrieval, natural language processing, or related fields.
- Publications in top-tier conferences or journals, or experience in data mining/machine learning competitions.
