ABOUT FOOD & BEVERAGE

The Food & Beverage team collaborates to ensure that guests enjoy a fresh, well-stocked, and safe shopping experience throughout the day.

This team is dedicated to providing a consistent experience for our guests by guaranteeing that products are fresh, adequately stocked, available, and correctly priced and signed on the sales floor. They are adept in operations, processes, and efficiency, overseeing food and beverage services, including replenishment, inventory accuracy, food safety, presentation, pricing, and promotional signage across all Food & Beverage sections of the store.

As a Food & Beverage Specialist, you will gain:

  • Insight into guest service principles and experience in fostering a guest-first culture in Food & Beverage.
  • Knowledge on advising guests regarding optimal purchasing times and quantities, along with storage recommendations.
  • Experience in the fundamentals of the Food & Beverage sector: sales trends, inventory management, quality and freshness oversight, guest shopping behaviors, and pricing strategies.
  • Understanding of food seasonality, quality standards, food safety protocols, and merchandising techniques.

Your typical responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering an outstanding guest experience by ensuring a fresh and fully stocked shopping environment during all operational hours, prioritizing guest needs over tasks.
  • Maintaining adherence to Food & Beverage Standards.
  • Understanding how operational practices influence shortages and profitability.
  • Executing Food & Beverage processes, including replenishment, stocking, zoning, data accuracy, and cleaning.
  • Managing fast-moving inventory by proactively adjusting stock based on seasonality and demand.
  • Complying with all food safety regulations as outlined by best practices.
  • Utilizing sampling and suggestive selling techniques to promote products and enhance sales.
  • Collaborating with distributors to effectively manage product displays and backroom organization.
  • Identifying and processing damaged or expired items in accordance with best practices.
  • Creating a welcoming atmosphere by genuinely greeting all guests.
  • Observing guest interactions to tailor assistance based on their needs.
  • Engaging with guests authentically, asking questions to better understand their specific requirements.
  • Being knowledgeable about available tools, products, and services to resolve guest inquiries and improve their shopping experience.
  • Expressing gratitude to guests and ensuring they feel valued during their visit.
  • Adhering to all relevant beverage laws and regulations.
  • Handling environmentally sensitive items with care.
  • Using and maintaining personal protective equipment and following safety guidelines.

  • Supporting guest services such as order pick-up and maintaining compliance during these duties.
