Medical-Surgical Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Medical-Surgical Nurse to join our team at Northwell Health. As a Medical-Surgical Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough patient assessments, develop individualized care plans, and implement evidence-based interventions to promote optimal patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, including physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Administer medications, perform treatments, and provide emotional support to patients and their families.
- Document patient information accurately and thoroughly, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and departmental policies.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient care and safety.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with a current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State.
- Specialized certifications, such as ONS Provider card or OCN, are preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
