Job Title: Asbestos Supervisor

At SERVPRO of Hurst-Euless-Bedford, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Asbestos Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation, demolition, and clean-up practices required for asbestos jobs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and direct the activities of asbestos abatement personnel engaged in removing asbestos from ceilings, walls, floors, and other structures.
  • Inspect work sites for compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and confer with industrial hygienists, architects, consultants, and engineers concerning asbestos abatement work practices and safety standards.
  • Review work orders and requisitions, determine priorities, estimate project completion time, assign work tasks to field teams, and inspect completed work projects for conformance with accepted asbestos abatement standards.
  • Makes estimates of materials necessary for the completion of projects.
  • Correctly completes all necessary project and employee-related documentation.
Requirements:
  • TX Licensed Asbestos Supervisor is required.
  • Experience in various aspects of abatement/remediation projects is required.
  • The ability to read basic project specifications and drawings is required.
  • Project management skills.
  • Ability to work/excel under deadlines and budgets.
  • Professional demeanor and appearance.
  • Positive encouraging attitude.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, bilingual preferred.
  • Construction field experience or additional experience in related work; lead abatement or industrial cleaning, is preferred.
  • Asbestos: 1-2 Years (Required)
  • Mold: 1-2 Years (Preferred)
  • Crew Management: 1-2 years (Required).
  • License: Driver's License (Required).
Skills/Physical Demands/Competencies:
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds regularly, occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance.
  • Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, work in tight spaces (e.g., crawl spaces, attics).
  • Ability to repetitively push/pull/lift/carry objects.
  • Ability to work with/around cleaning agents.
  • Ability to successfully complete a background check subject to applicable law.
