Job Title: Equipment Engineer

Bayone is seeking an experienced Equipment Engineer to join our team. As an Equipment Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, maintaining, and repairing power supplies and modulators used in testing of high-power Klystrons, transmitters, radars, etc.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, troubleshoot, and repair manufacturing equipment, with a special emphasis on electrical proficiency for analyzing and resolving issues in analog circuits.
  • Ensure the reliable operation of test systems for Klystrons used in applications like particle accelerators and radar systems.
  • Work with manufacturing during product runs to ensure efficient equipment operation.
  • Analyze equipment operation to establish operating data, conduct experimental tests, and specify tests to be performed by support personnel.
  • Develop and improve engineering processes and work instructions for system reliability, efficiency, safety, troubleshooting, and regular maintenance.
  • Perform difficult electronic, mechanical, and technical assignments such as constructing, troubleshooting, calibrating, adjusting, testing, repairing, and maintaining electronic and mechanical equipment, electro-mechanical devices, and components and systems.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or technical expertise.
  • Deep understanding of electrical principles and safety and industry standards, especially for high-voltage systems.
  • Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain/maintain a U.S. Department of Defense Security Clearance.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in Power Supply and Modulator Equipment repair/design.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Hands-on experience with a basic understanding of engineering principles, RF/microwave concepts, vacuum science/products, electronic theory, manufacturing science, etc.
  • Passion for hands-on work and problem-solving.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office products (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal/written communication, and organizational skills.
