EMT Training Program Overview

Global Medical Response is offering a unique opportunity for individuals to become certified Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) through our comprehensive training program.

The program is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to pass the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) certification exam and become licensed EMTs.

As an EMT, you will be responsible for providing basic emergency medical care and transportation for patients in emergency situations.

The program includes a rigorous multiple-week training period, during which students will learn about patient assessment, basic life support, and emergency vehicle operations.

Upon successful completion of the program, students will be eligible to take the NREMT certification exam and become licensed EMTs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide basic emergency medical care and transportation for patients
  • Assist in carrying patients by stretcher or other device to emergency vehicles
  • Initiate patient treatment and care utilizing initial protocol treatment based on patient condition
  • Conduct basic life support skills
  • Obtain and preserve samples of substances to assist hospital personnel in patient diagnosis and treatment
  • Communicate information to other members of the healthcare profession, patients, family members, and other responders as necessary and appropriate

Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Have proof of a high school diploma or GED
  • Have the ability to meet all health standards of the education program enrolled in, including immunization status and health screenings
  • Successfully complete the pre-employment screening which includes motor vehicle and criminal background checks, drug testing, academic/cognitive screening (Fisdap), and a physical agility test
  • Must possess a valid state driver's license
