What are the responsibilities of a Senior Venture Analyst?

We are looking for a seasoned Senior Venture Analyst with 5-7 years of relevant experience to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be instrumental in conducting research on technological advancements impacting the wealth management sector, aiding in due diligence processes, evaluating investment prospects, and providing strategic insights to facilitate informed investment decisions.

Key Responsibilities of a Senior Venture Analyst:

  • Engage in meetings and evaluations of startups to assess their business models, market positioning, and growth potential.
  • Collaborate with the investment team to execute thorough due diligence for potential investments, including comprehensive market analysis, financial evaluations, and competitive assessments.
  • Review financial statements, business plans, and forecasts to gauge the financial viability and growth prospects of target firms.
  • Draft detailed investment memoranda, reports, and presentations for senior management and investment committee discussions.
  • Work closely with the investment team to evaluate and structure investment agreements, negotiate terms, and support portfolio companies post-investment.
  • Monitor and assess the performance of portfolio companies, providing regular updates to the investment team.
  • Manage the fintech deal flow pipeline and facilitate knowledge sharing within the investment team.
  • Support partnerships and events as required.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with business sponsors and the venture ecosystem.
What qualifications, skills, and experience contribute to success?
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in financial services, including venture capital, private equity, investment banking, or asset management.
  • Demonstrated success in evaluating and executing venture investments.
  • Exemplary integrity, leadership, and relationship-building capabilities.
  • Strong analytical abilities, financial insight, and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Capacity to work independently, lead initiatives, and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • MBA or CFA designation is preferred.
  • Willingness to work on-site to actively support the FinTech Incubator.
