Product Manager Job Description

The Product Manager will play a key role in supporting Product Managers and the Sr. Director, Chilled Water Systems in driving the strategy for Thermal Chilled Water Systems product offerings. This includes development and management of solutions to support the Americas region.

The successful candidate will work across the organization with key customers, sales teams, and regional stakeholders to identify and quantify market applications and opportunities. They will develop roadmaps and work with cross-functional teams to execute the roadmap through the New Product Development Stage Gate process.

This role will focus on executing later stage gates in the Product Development Process, including launch phases and maintaining existing offerings. The Product Manager will also develop new offerings and collaborate with Marketing teams to develop marketing programs for demand generation.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute product lifecycle management plans, including product introduction, line extension, engineered to order, and end of production.
  • Research market trends, demand drivers, customer needs, and the competitive landscape.
  • Ensure all customer-facing offering documentation and marketing collateral is available and accurate.
  • Provide offering information to customers, sales, customer service, and application engineering.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations, product demos, and other sales enablement tools.
  • Develop and track metrics to measure post-launch sales performance of new offerings.
  • Collaborate with Marketing teams to develop marketing programs for demand generation.
  • Manage list pricing and discounts.
  • Manage product line profitability and volume forecasts.
  • Assist in championing resolution of offering issues, including delivery, quality, and inventory.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree (BS or BA) in Engineering, Marketing, or other applicable education; MBA a plus.
  • At least 7 years' relevant experience.
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Effectively communicates technical information and complex ideas.
  • Technical expertise to translate customer needs/pain points to solutions.
  • Strong written/oral communication, especially in communicating customer needs.
  • Ability to analyze data, draw conclusions, and work with multiple stakeholders to drive actions.
  • General understanding of sales, marketing, operations, and financial disciplines.
