Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver patient care effectively and efficiently through collaboration and communication with patients and healthcare team members.
- Administer care and treatment to patients who are ill, injured, or in recovery.
- Evaluate patient conditions, dispense medications, change dressings, monitor vital signs, maintain accurate records, and provide educational support to patients.
- Develop and coordinate care plans to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Adhere to established policies, regulations, guidelines, and procedures.
- Work autonomously under supervision to fulfill care objectives for patients.
- Conduct regular assessments of patient conditions.
- Perform additional responsibilities as required.
- Seek motivated individuals who are interested in professional development.
- Exhibit excellent communication skills with colleagues, physicians, patients, and their families.
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
- Current Basic Life Support certification for Healthcare Providers from AHA.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program, along with appropriate licensure.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in a 15 Bed - Medical/Surgical/Telemetry Unit, handling short-stay patients, with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6 or 1:7. BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications are required.
- Compliance with vaccination requirements is necessary.
NOTE:
All facilities operate on a 36/48 schedule for the bi-weekly pay period unless otherwise specified. Patient ratios may vary based on census and staffing needs. Orientation occurs bi-weekly. Resource candidates must meet residency requirements to be considered. Assignment confirmations must be processed within 24 hours of offer acceptance.
