Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Equipment Service Professional to join our team at Vermeer Midwest-Fort Wayne. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in repairing and maintaining heavy duty machinery, including directional drills, pipeline trenchers, and brush chippers.

The salary for this position is estimated to be around $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy duty machinery, including inspecting equipment for proper performance and diagnosing faults.
  • Determine the necessary parts and tools required for repairs and complete work orders in a timely manner.
  • Clean and lubricate equipment, test for successful repair, and report any issues to management.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required, associate's degree or higher preferred.
  • 2-5 years' experience in a related field, such as heavy equipment repair or maintenance.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
