Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Linux Server Administrator to join our team at StratasCorp. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our Linux-based infrastructure, including web servers, database servers, and workstations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support and maintenance for Linux servers, including configuration, security, and backup operations.
  • Coordinate with the Database Administrator (DBA) to manage database servers, including hardware, software, security, and backups.
  • Perform cloud migration to AWS environment, including configuration, STIG, and management of additional RHEL 8 servers in a virtual environment.
  • Coordinate with offsite partners to establish and maintain backup servers at an offsite location.
  • Develop and recommend a disaster recovery plan to ensure minimal interruption and maximum transparency to users.
  • Provide recommendations regarding hardware and software solutions to meet changing requirements.
  • Configure and manage N9 assets related to training missions, including simulators and additional hardware.
Requirements
  • DOD 8570 CSWF certification: Security+ CE
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's in Systems Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field experience
  • IT certifications in Linux and VMWare certified professional
  • 3+ years Systems administration experience, including management of web and database servers
  • 3+ years' experience in VMWare or similar virtualization tools
  • 3+ years' experience managing workstation configurations
  • Past performance preferred in administration of Oracle servers
  • Strong experience in automated systems management tools
  • Strong knowledge of backup and recuperation procedures
