Job Overview:

The Student Facility Attendant plays a crucial role in ensuring a clean and safe environment within the university premises. This position involves a variety of tasks aimed at maintaining the overall cleanliness and functionality of the facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • General Cleaning: Maintain cleanliness in various locations such as entryways, hallways, classrooms, restrooms, locker rooms, and offices.
  • Floor Care: Perform floor maintenance through vacuuming, washing, and mopping as required.
  • Sanitation: Clean and disinfect all restroom facilities, including toilets, sinks, and showers.
  • Waste Management: Collect and dispose of trash from designated areas in accordance with proper disposal procedures.
  • Surface Cleaning: Dust and clean windows, frames, vents, furniture, and mirrors to ensure a tidy appearance.
  • Security Checks: Ensure that all lights are turned off and doors are securely locked after cleaning.
  • Event Setup: Assist in setting up equipment for special events as needed.
  • Snow Removal: Responsible for snow removal and upkeep of custodial equipment.
  • Reporting: Promptly report any building repairs or maintenance issues to the supervisor.
  • Supply Management: Request and restock custodial supplies to maintain inventory levels.
Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with custodial procedures and the operation of cleaning equipment.
  • Physical capability to lift weights up to 50 lbs and perform various manual tasks.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on customer service.
  • Proficient in English for effective communication and safety compliance.
  • Able to follow both verbal and written instructions accurately.
  • Completion of safety and equipment training is required upon hiring.
