Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Risk Management and Business Continuity Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining risk management and business continuity programs that protect the organization's assets and ensure its operational resilience.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities facing the organization.
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to minimize the likelihood and impact of identified risks.
  • Establish and maintain a business continuity plan that outlines procedures for responding to disruptions and restoring critical operations.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Provide training and awareness programs on risk management and business continuity principles.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of risk management and business continuity programs, making recommendations for improvements as needed.

Qualifications

  • Advanced knowledge of risk management, business continuity, insurance, and the claims process.
  • Understanding of federal and state laws, rules, and regulations impacting higher education institutions.
  • Experience with process improvement theories and practices.
  • Knowledge of best practices in higher education management.
  • Proficiency in computer skills and job-related software programs.
