We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated School Psychologist to join our team at Soliant Education in Astoria, NY. As a School Psychologist, you will play a vital role in supporting the academic and emotional well-being of students from K-12th grade.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct Comprehensive Assessments: Conduct thorough psychological assessments and evaluations to identify students' strengths and areas of need, and develop strategies to support their academic and personal growth.
- Collaborate with Educational Teams: Work closely with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that cater to the unique needs of each student.
- Provide Counseling and Intervention Services: Offer counseling and intervention services to address students' emotional, behavioral, and academic challenges, and provide support to help them overcome obstacles and achieve their full potential.
- Crisis Intervention and Support: Provide crisis intervention and support as needed, and work with students, teachers, and parents to develop strategies to prevent and respond to crises.
- Monitor and Report Progress: Regularly monitor and report on student progress, and recommend adjustments to interventions as needed to ensure students are meeting their academic and personal goals.
- Contribute to School-Wide Initiatives: Contribute to school-wide programs and initiatives that promote mental health and well-being, and work with colleagues to develop and implement strategies to support students' social-emotional learning.
- Master's or Doctoral Degree in School Psychology: Possess a Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field.
- Valid School Psychologist License: Hold a valid School Psychologist license in the state of New York.
- Experience Working with K-12 Students: Have previous experience working with K-12 students, preferably in a school setting.
- Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work collaboratively with a diverse group of stakeholders.
- Exceptional Organizational and Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrate exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills, and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
