POSITION: Voter Outreach Specialist
EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-time or Part-time
LOCATION: Richmond, Virginia
ABOUT US: New Virginia Majority (NVM) stands as Virginia's foremost civic engagement organization, dedicated to mobilizing diverse communities throughout the state. Our continuous organizing efforts encompass extensive voter outreach linked to ongoing community initiatives, comprehensive leadership development, and advocacy efforts. We are currently expanding our team and are in search of dedicated individuals who are passionate about social transformation.
ROLE DESCRIPTION: NVM is seeking organizers for its political voter outreach initiative. Organizers will collaborate with a state-wide team to enhance awareness about NVM-endorsed candidates and provide voters with current voting information. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Engaging voters through direct conversations via phone, text, and in-person.
- Submitting accurate and complete data.
- Supporting the Regional Field Director in achieving program objectives.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and thrive under pressure.
- Eagerness to learn new technological tools and resolve technical challenges.
- Strong communication skills across diverse backgrounds.
- Self-motivated, organized, and capable of independent work.
- Willingness to work flexible and extended hours.
- Alignment with NVM's mission and values.
COMPENSATION: This is a seasonal role with both part-time and full-time opportunities. Voter Outreach Specialists will receive a compensation of $20 per hour.
