Salary and BenefitsThe estimated salary for this position is $22-$28 per hour, depending on experience. In addition to competitive pay, our benefits package includes paid time off, paid vacation time, and holidays, as well as mileage reimbursement for approved services.
Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Emergency Response Specialist to join our team. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Providing crisis intervention services, including information gathering, assessment, brief skill-based interventions, and safety planning, with the goal of immediate symptom reduction and stabilization.
- Engaging patients from a trauma-informed person-centered approach, providing trauma-informed care, and determining the appropriate level of mental health care.
- Assessing and engaging with individuals experiencing psychosis and substance abuse, checking vital signs, and providing documentation.
- Working with first responders and other community members to ensure effective collaboration and communication.
- Completing safety plans with clients when hospitalization is not warranted and assessing clients for indicators of abuse, neglect, and trauma-related diagnoses.
To be successful in this role, you must possess:
- A minimum of two years of experience as a substance abuse counselor and/or case manager in a licensed and/or accredited substance abuse treatment facility.
- Certification in substance abuse counseling (Counselor Technician (CT) and/or Chemical Dependency Counselor (CDC1) preferred).
- A bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work effectively in a high-stress environment with minimal supervision.
