Bus Washer

Regional Transit Service (RTS) is seeking a skilled Bus Washer to join our team. As a Bus Washer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of our customers by cleaning buses, fueling them, and parking them in the correct location on the RTS campus.

• Clean buses to maintain a safe and healthy environment for customers
• Fuel buses and check fluids to ensure they are in good working condition
• Park buses in the correct location on the RTS campus to ensure they are ready for service the next day

• Valid NY State Driver's License (Class B permit with passenger endorsement required prior to start date)
• Clean driving record
• Special consideration given to applicants who already possess their CDL Class B permit/license with passenger endorsement and no air brake restriction

The work is physically demanding and requires the ability to work in various weather conditions, including summer heat and winter cold. The work environment is noisy, and applicants must be able to hear oncoming vehicles, horns, and other verbal signals in and between buses without a line of sight.
