Job Title: Nocturnist

KurzSolutions is seeking a skilled Nocturnist to join our team in Shiprock, NM.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive inpatient care for patients hospitalized on the general medical wards, Step Down Unit, and SCI/CLC unit.
  • Perform admitting history and physical examinations, co-manage patients, and write prescriptions for medications and diets.
  • Discharge patients from inpatient care when necessary and perform patient assessments and documentation.
  • Order diagnostic studies, initiate consultations, and schedule special tests and studies.
  • Provide education and counseling to patients and families on preventative care, medical conditions, and treatment.
  • Coordinate and supervise mid-level and allied health practitioner staff to ensure patient care goals are achieved.
Requirements:
  • Graduation from an accredited Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) program with an Internal Medicine residency program.
  • Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) or American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine (AOBIM).
  • Valid, unrestricted license to practice medicine in one of the 50 United States, District of Columbia, Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam, or U.S. Virgin Islands.
  • Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) by the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Minimum one (1) year experience as a Hospitalist/Nocturnist in a hospital-based inpatient clinical activity.
