About the Role:

KurzSolutions is seeking a skilled Nocturnist Physician to join our team. As a Nocturnist, you will provide comprehensive inpatient care to patients hospitalized on the general medical wards, Step Down Unit, and SCI/CLC unit.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform admitting history and physical examinations
  • Co-manage and collaborate with other medicine inpatient services
  • Write prescriptions for medications, diets, and nutritional items
  • Discharge patients from inpatient care when necessary
  • Perform patient assessments and documentation
  • Order diagnostic studies, such as laboratory tests and x-rays
  • Initiate and expedite requests for consultation and special tests
  • Provide education and counseling to patients and families
  • Coordinate and supervise mid-level and allied health practitioner staff

Requirements:

  • Graduated from an accredited Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) program with an Internal Medicine residency program
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) or American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine (AOBIM)
  • Valid, unrestricted license to practice medicine in one of the 50 United States, District of Columbia, Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam, or U.S. Virgin Islands
  • Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) by the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Minimum one (1) year experience as a Hospitalist/Nocturnist in a hospital-based inpatient clinical activity
