Job Description
As an Advanced Practice Nurse (Certified Nurse Anesthetist), you will be responsible for providing anesthetic services to patients in various settings. Your duties will include:
- Collaborating with healthcare professionals to achieve common goals for patient care, safety, and welfare
- Providing anesthesia services, including pre-anesthesia evaluation, anesthesia induction, maintenance, and emergence
- Developing and implementing comprehensive anesthesia plans of care for patients requiring local, regional, general, and monitored anesthesia
- Ensuring high-quality anesthetic services are delivered throughout the facility, promoting patient safety, satisfaction, and improved outcomes and efficiencies
- Functioning as a resource for staff education and being willing to serve as a preceptor and adjunct clinical faculty for healthcare trainees rotating through the facility
- Developing and implementing evidence-based practices essential to delivering the highest quality anesthesia care
- Prescribing preoperative, intra-operative, and postoperative orders and medications
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be eligible for this position, you must have:
- A master's or doctoral degree in nurse anesthesia from a school accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs (COA)
- An active, current, full, and unrestricted license to practice as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) in any US State or territory
- Full and current certification by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) or equivalent nurse anesthetist certification recognized by the COA
