Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Team Leader to join our team at Toyota Boshoku America. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for directing team members in assigned manufacturing areas, ensuring the execution of team leader responsibilities, and maintaining the overall Toyota Production System.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and motivate team members to ensure safety, quality, efficiency, productivity, and cost reduction.
  • Develop and maintain standardized work procedures, assign work to team members, and ensure effective maintenance and repair operations.
  • Assign and support maintenance activities on all production equipment, facilities, and utility systems to provide a reliable production platform.
  • Utilize knowledge and skills to maintain the highest level of safety and efficiency for machines, tools, equipment, etc.
  • Maintain a safe working environment for all team members, ensure compliance with safety regulations, and lead safety audits and related activities.
  • Train and coach team members in performance, setups, troubleshooting, continuous improvement, and maintenance and repair operations.
  • Communicate frequently with internal contacts on various issues, maintain daily and/or frequent communication with upstream and downstream groups/areas, and coordinate communications between shifts.
Requirements
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required; Associate's degree in Maintenance, Industrial Technology, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum three (3) years of relevant maintenance experience required; experience in maintenance and repair operations associated with electrical systems, electronics, fabrication, hydraulics, injection molding, mechanical drives, pneumatics, robotics, stamping, welding, assembly, and conveyor systems preferred.
  • Leadership or supervisory experience preferred; automotive industry experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job functions of a leadership role; ability to troubleshoot and track equipment issues, perform root cause analysis, and correct issues with equipment suppliers.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; previous experience working with integrated computer programs and/or applications preferred.
Work Environment/Conditions

The Maintenance Team Leader will work in a standard automotive plant environment with moderate noise level. PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) such as safety glasses, steel toe shoes, Kevlar sleeves, hearing protection, etc. may be required in designated engineering, manufacturing, or industrial areas. Personal attire standards may apply.

Travel

Minimal travel required, including potential travel to Japan for training and benchmark activities and other TBA facilities for training and benchmark activities.
