We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Care Specialist to join our team at Coon Rapids Pet Hospital. As a key member of our veterinary care team, you will play a vital role in providing top-notch medical care and compassionate service to our furry patients.

Job Summary

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in veterinary technology, animal science, or a related field, with a minimum of 1+ years of experience in a similar role. You will be responsible for assisting veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and other procedures, as well as providing direct care to our animal patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and other procedures
  • Provide direct care to animal patients, including cleaning and dressing wounds, administering medication, collecting samples, and checking vitals
  • Perform routine laboratory tests and analyze results to aid in diagnosis and treatment
  • Handle basic care duties, such as feeding and watering animals, and observing any unusual health issues
  • Maintain accurate patient records and update files as necessary
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in veterinary technology, animal science, or a related field from an accredited program
  • 1+ years of experience in a veterinary setting
  • Working knowledge of standard industry tools and equipment
  • Solid understanding of animal behavior and healthcare
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Able to restrain larger pets when necessary
Salary and Benefits

$60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits package including health insurance, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.
