Farm Department Account Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Farm Department Account Manager to manage all aspects of Farm Insurance accounts and linked Personal and Commercial Insurance policies. This includes servicing, counseling, retention, and cross-selling of farm and related insurance products according to agency procedures and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with existing customers to assist with insurance coverage reviews, policy changes, and quote requests, ensuring they have the best coverage for their needs.
  • Counsel customers on coverage options, quote insurance rates, and accurately complete applications, prioritizing business placement with core carriers.
  • Gather necessary information for quotes, enter data into the agency's quoting software, and discuss products with clients to find the best fit.
  • Perform account transactions, including quotations, applications, and binders for new and rewritten business.
  • Prepare and complete questionnaires, documents, and adjust accounts according to agency procedures and standards.
  • Modify, update, and process existing policies and claims in our agency management system and company systems.
  • Document interactions with customers in our agency management system and attach relevant documents.
  • Assist with billing inquiries and payments as needed.
  • Complete daily and monthly reports assigned to you.
  • Act proactively to retain accounts, following up on cancellations and Broker of Record letters according to agency procedures.
  • Seek out new sales opportunities through networking, referrals, or asking for additional lines of business.
  • Represent the agency in a professional, ethical, and courteous manner consistent with our image.
  • Respond to customers promptly, accurately, professionally, and courteously.
  • Maintain confidentiality of company and client information.
  • Collaborate with the Farm Department on cross-sale opportunities for existing agency customers.
  • Rotate between Farm Department service and new business as needed.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma required; Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of related commercial lines account management experience; any experience with Farm accounts highly desired
  • Pennsylvania Property and Casualty License required; Life and Health Insurance License preferred
  • Understanding of insurance coverage forms, carrier products, and company underwriting guidelines
  • Adherence to agency guidelines for placing business
  • Knowledge and ability to use individual company software and programs to quote policies when required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Experience with an agency management system, preferably Applied Epic
  • Knowledge of processes for providing customer and personal services, principles, and methods for promoting and selling products
  • Must display a positive attitude at all times with clients and employees
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to listen and speak effectively to others
  • Ability to manage one's own time
  • Ability to organize, plan, and prioritize workload
  • Ability to take direction and work both independently and as part of a team

Work Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm
