About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Service Technician to join our team at Johnson Controls International. As a Fire Service Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our customers' facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and repair installed fire alarm and security systems, including panel repair and reprogramming, device replacement and repair, and system testing.
  • Organize and utilize technical resources, information, material, and support to ensure efficient execution of all assigned tasks.
  • Provide excellent written and verbal communication and customer service skills to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Program fire alarm, security, and access control system panels.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 4+ years' experience with fire alarm, access control, security intrusion, sound and communications systems (preferred).
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, diagrams, and specifications.
  • Good working knowledge of computers.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Capable of performing physical labor, including carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, to meet customer requirements.
  • Overnight travel may be required.
  • Demonstrate a high level of customer service.
  • Maintain truck inventory to ensure timely response to customer needs.
  • Ability to adhere to, implement, and follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
  • Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and ability to learn quickly.
Preferred Qualifications
  • CCNA, A+, and Network+ certifications.
  • Experience with CCTV and IT and IP networks.
